the pump is convenietly powered by energy from sunlight ,no external batteries or electricity needed can pump water from a river at 2000l/hr wth fairly sloppy area for 3km no need for battery and solat controller can work with solar panels only can pump water from fairly sloppy area to 3 kilometers horse pump 1.5hp does not need a controller should not be used with inverter life span 15-20 years
